Welcome to Life in Lyngby 2026
Lyngby Hovedgade will be transformed into a vibrant folk festival in September with shopping, activities, good food and community — and interest is greater than ever. With over 60 registered stallholders, including companies from all over the country who come to experience Lyngby as a commercial town, it looks like an event that will leave its mark on the entire city.
The event will take place:
🗓️ Friday, September 4, 4–8 p.m. — The City's Friday Bar
🗓️ Saturday, September 5th, 10 am–4 pm — City party for the whole family
Friday evening We invite you to the City Friday Bar along the Nørgaardsvej–Klampenborgvej and Likørstræde stretch. Restaurants and cafés will be serving food and drinks, long rows of tables and benches will be set up, and music will be played in the street and there will be Stand-Up. A relaxed evening in the heart of the city — for everyone who wants to enjoy the summer in good company.
Saturday is the city's big celebration day with stalls, associations, political parties and cultural actors all along Lyngby Hovedgade. There is a children's area with a bouncy castle and activities, a car exhibition on Lyngby Torv, live performances and much more. A day for the whole family.
Numbers of delegates
Approximately 30,000 participants from all over Denmark are expected.

Are you a store, company, association or player interested in being part of the city's largest trade festival? Registration is now open.
You can sign up for Saturday, September 5th — and are also encouraged to consider Friday, September 4th, where the City Friday Bar creates atmosphere and traffic in the street from 4 p.m.
The registration system is digital — here you can easily register: number of pitches, desired location, need for tent rental and electricity, etc.

Practical information about stands
The stands are 3×3 meters. If you want two seats side by side, simply state 3×6 when registering. You can book for Friday, Saturday or both days.
Material rental
Through our collaboration with Bedst til Fest, you can rent tents and other equipment directly to your pitch. The tent will be delivered ready when you arrive.
Write ""Life in Lyngby"" in your order at Bedst til Fest and get 50% discount on delivery.
You are of course also welcome to bring your own safety-approved tent.
Prices per pitch (3×3 meters)
Members of the Danish Chamber of Commerce: 500 kr.
Non-members in Lyngby: DKK 1,500.
Non-members from outside: DKK 2,000.
Location
Shops and restaurants on Lyngby Hovedgade will generally be placed in front of their own premises. All others can indicate their wishes for placement, and we will accommodate these as much as possible. The final space allocation will be announced in August.
